Palestine

Palestine,
Oh, first of the two Qiblas...
Palestine,
Oh, third of the holy sanctuaries...
Oh, soul imprisoned within us...
Oh, authenticity, Arabism, and pride.
We appointed them by law to protect the tents,
But how strange, this law delivered death sentences.
We placed our trust in them and called upon them for justice,
They silenced us with slogans and shackled us with chains,
Until when, my brother, we will continue to follow them,
And they have placed us under siege.
Oh, how it happened, my Arab brother, we were unaware of their plans,
They have placed us under siege...
They rose to prominence, pursuing higher knowledge,
While our currency collapsed,
And our condition deteriorated.
And who is responsible?
Will great Palestine shrink into a small state?
They built castles in the air,
We surrendered, though we never consented,
They placed us under siege.
Who among us is responsible?
Oh, woe to us, Father, and to the great nations,
For they are the source of regret.
