Foundation:

Pursuant to the Moroccan people’s longstanding and principled engagement in the Palestinian people’s liberation struggle, and based on the continuous and evident Zionist targeting of the Moroccan realm through multifaceted and multidimensional steps of normalization, both covert and overt, which aim to infiltrate the national social fabric by undermining its fundamental components and cultural structures, it has become an urgent need to establish the “Moroccan Observatory against Normalization” as an initiative of “National Working Group for Palestine” supported by various segments of Moroccan society, including its political, cultural, artistic, and athletic bodies ... [This is] a valuable addition to the front confronting the Zionist project and a tool through which the Moroccan people contribute to the growing global movement against the Zionist entity and which denounces its crimes and endeavors to boycott and isolate it internationally, and holding its leaders accountable.

The Observatory was established on January 5, 2013, following the recommendations of the first National Forum against Normalization (May 27, 2010) organized by the “Working Group,” which led to the issuing of the Rabat Declaration. It is also the fruit of the popular will expressed through various national marches and activities in support of Palestine.

Objectives:

The “Moroccan Observatory against Normalization” is a pluralistic civil framework that brings together various components and activists to fight Zionist infiltration and foil its designs. The Observatory aims to oppose all forms and attempts of normalization with the Zionist entity and its supporters in all areas, monitoring them and reporting them.

Methods:

-  Raising awareness about the dangers of normalization in all its forms and manifestations;

- Conducting studies on the subject;

-  Organizing national, Arab, and international conferences and meetings on the subject across various sectors and fields;

-  Analyzing the impacts of normalization;

-  Producing media content on the subject;

-  Issuing newsletters and specialized studies on the topic;

-  Preparing periodic reports on the subject; and

-  Collaborating and coordinating with relevant national, Arab, and international organizations.
